About Me
Personal
I am originally from a small town, just outside of Charlotte, called Harrisburg in North Carolina. I spent a lot of time playing soccer throughout middle and high school, and continue to enjoy it recreationally. I watch the Premier League when I can and have adopted Brighton as my team, but I truly just like watching good soccer. I play video games and have been playing Counter-Strike for a little over a decade now. I played on my univeristy's collegiate team and still keep up with the eSports scene. I've recently been playing more single-player games and am a big recommender of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II (and the original of course). I also enjoy music and write music in my free time using my electric guitar and Ableton.
Academics
I graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. in Statistics from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. During my junior year, I chose to study abroad at Nagoya University in Nagoya, Japan through the NUPACE program. My experiences led me to try to return to Japan as a graduate student and now I am currently in my second year of my master's degree at Tohoku University in Sendai, Japan. I hold a certificate for the N2-level of the JLPT and plan to take the N1 in the near future.
